Agnes Ngetich will be seeking redemption at this weekend's Adizero Road To Records after her dismal show at the World Cross Country Championships due to period cramps.
World 10km record holder Agnes Ngetich will be seeking redemption at the Adizero Road To Records following her bitter exit from the World Cross Country Championships due to period cramps.
Going into the senior women’s race as a pre-race favourite, Ngetich failed to live up to the billing after finishing a distant fifth in the race that was won by Beatrice Chebet. Her focus now shifts to the road race scheduled for Saturday, April 27 and she looks to bounce back.
In a post on her Instagram page, the 23-year-old said: “Ready to race again on April 27th. Cannot wait.” The race will be her fourth of the season, following the 10km race in Valencia where she broke the world record before competing at the National Cross-Country Championships and later the World Cross Country Championships in Belgrade, Serbia.
