The 2019 Africa javelin silver medallist added that his major priority is to qualify for the World Championships.
Javelin thrower Alexander Kiprotich has cited that the lack of 2015 World Javelin champion Julius Yego has hugely affected his training morale.
Kiprotich exclusively told Pulse Sports that Yego would push him to be a greater individual and he would learn a lot from him.

The initiative was kickstarted by the World-Wide Fund for Nature Kenya (WWF) organisation.
However, he added that he has no choice but to keep pushing forward considering all eyes will be on him to deliver.
“His (Yego) presence alone used to be felt. I would get to do a lot when he was around and I also learned a lot skill-wise. He would correct me where I went wrong but now I am on my own. It doesn’t feel the same again,” Kiprotich said.
The 2019 Africa javelin silver medallist added that his major priority is to qualify for the World Championships scheduled for August 19 to 27 in Budapest, Hungary.
Kiprotich said his body’s response to training has been promising and is optimistic that he will make his debut in the global show come August.
During the second Athletics Kenya meet at the Nyayo National Stadium, Kiprotich placed first after managing to throw 71.71m.

The athlete fended off strong competition from Agnes Mumbua to claim top honours.
He was, however, not happy with the distance he threw as he revealed that he was confident of hitting the qualifying distance of 85.20m at the event.
“My main priority at the moment is qualifying for the World Championships. I am hoping by the time the qualifying window is closed, I will have managed a good throw,” Kiprotich said.
The 28-year-old is also keen on taking part at the Kip Keino Classic scheduled for May 13 at the Moi International Sports Center. He plans to use the event as a build up for the World Championships.
