American hurdler Masai Russell has embraced the holiday spirit, hosting Christmas in her new home after an incredible 2024 season.

Masai Russell is ready to deck the halls this holiday season—but not without a little hustle and hard work.

The American track star, fresh off an incredible 2024 season, has been preparing to host her very first Christmas party in her brand-new home.

The 24-year-old Olympic gold medalist is embracing the festive chaos of the season, sharing her journey of transforming her house into a warm holiday haven.

“So, if y'all didn't know, your girl purchased a house, so come with me,” Russell began in a candid Instagram post.

“I have already done a couple of videos, but this one really took me out. I am not gonna lie, this is definitely a workout, but we dedicate our whole entire Sunday just moving me into this house and getting everything new, getting everything unpacked.”

The video she shared takes her followers behind the scenes of what it takes to move in, settle down, and prep for the holidays, all in a matter of days.

From cleaning dusty surfaces to organizing drawers and hanging mirrors, Russell compared the process to the intense training sessions she endures on the track.

While her physical fitness is unmatched, the athlete joked about feeling the strain of domestic duties as she set up her home for family and friends.

“The holiday is here, and Christmas is around the corner, and I tell you guys that I am hosting Christmas,” Russell exclaimed, visibly amused by her own ambitious plans.

“Yes, I just freakin' moved in, and I am hosting Christmas. Am I sick? Am I OK, man? I don't know. And this is a brand new house, but I did decide to clean it just because it's super brand new and it still has dust particles.”

The hurdling champion, known for her grit and determination on the track, did not shy away from detailing how much effort has gone into preparing her space for the holidays.

“We definitely got in the house at 12pm, and this needs four days of work,” she admitted, giving fans a glimpse of the dedication it takes to turn a brand-new house into a cozy, welcoming Christmas home.

Russell’s big move comes as the cherry on top of a stellar year.

After clinching gold in the 100m hurdles at the Paris Olympics with a time of 12.33 seconds, she quickly became one of the brightest stars in American athletics.

Her achievements did not stop there—she also dominated the US Olympic Trials with a personal best of 12.25 seconds and showcased consistent performances throughout the season.

But now, the track spikes are momentarily replaced with cleaning supplies and holiday decorations.

Her Instagram followers, including big names like Angel Reese and Rhasidat Adeleke, celebrated Russell’s accomplishments both on and off the track.

The post announcing her new homeownership, shared in late November, was met with an outpouring of love and pride.

Balloons spelling out “HOME” decorated the fireplace as Russell posed with her family, captioning the moment: “HOMEOWNER AT 24🏡! Thank you God. Thank you to my parents. Thank you to my real estate agent. 2024 just keeps getting better & better.”
