Beatrice Chepkoech has revealed circumstances surrounding the race after claiming the season's second successive Diamond League win.
Reigning World 3000m steeplechase record holder Beatrice Chepkoech has reacted following her successive Diamond League Meeting victories.
Chepkoech, the World 3000m Steeplechase silver medallist started her Diamond League Meeting campaign at the Meeting in Xiamen, stopping the clock at 8:55.40 before reining supreme at the just concluded meeting in Suzhou.

World 3000m SC record holder Beatrice Chepkoech will renew her rivalry with World champion Winfred Yavi at the Diamond League Meeting in Xiamen.
In Suzhou, she clocked 9:07.36 to cross the finish line first ahead of Peruth Chemutai who clocked 9:15.46 to finish second. Germany’s Felicitas Krause finished third after stopping the clock at 9:16.24.
In her campaign to bag an Olympic medal ahead of the global bonanza in Paris, France, Chepkoech has acknowledged that winning races is great motivation and build-up as she seeks to make an impact. During the race, Chepkoech also admitted that she was not feeling well during the race but she had to put in the fight and give her all.

"It feels so good to win a second Diamond League race in a week. I did not feel well, I had stomach issues, but I decided to compete. It gives me really good motivation going into the season where the goal is to win the Olympic Games,” she said.

Sha'Carri Richardson handed successive defeat by Great Britain's sprinting ace in Suzhou
Sha'carri Richardson failed to live up to expectations again after being handed her second defeat of the season by Great Britain's sprinting queen.
The Kenyan has been unbeaten in her specialty since she started her campaign at the African Games. She has also competed in the 5000m at the third Athletics Kenya weekend meet where she won before dominating the trials for the African Games and finishing fourth at the African Games over the distance.
Meanwhile, Chepkoech began her season with the indoor campaign, where she finished fifth in the 1500m race at the ORLEN Copernicus Cup.
She then competed at the Meeting Hauts-de-France Pas-de-Calais Trophée EDF in the 3000m race where she sealed the podium. She was then selected in Team Kenya for the World Indoor Championships, finishing third and bagging her first World Indoor medal.
