21-year-old Catherine Reline has continued her dominant exploits to clinch the Chemasusu Dam Half Marathon.

Catherine Reline has extended her winning streak to reign supreme at the ninth edition of the Mozzart Bet Chemasusu Dam Half Marathon on Saturday, November 11.

The World Half Marathon bronze medallist put up a good fight to clinch the title in an impressive time of 1:12:18. Her performance is an improvement from last year’s performance where she finished second behind Daisy Cherotich.

Reline explained that she knew what she was going for as the race started as she led from gun to tape to clinch top honours at the end.

The 21-year-old pulled clear of the rest at the Poror's climbing lane and seamlessly dealt with the course on her way to tape.

In the post-race interview, Reline expressed her excitement about having won the race and admitted that she had not prepared well for the race.

"I wasn't prepared well as I had been on rest since returning from Riga. I challenged myself to try the course before resuming training. It feels good to win the race," she said as per Mozzart Sport.

Meanwhile, the men’s race was dominated by youngster Anthony Kipchirchir was in a class of his own as he clinched the top honours.

Kipchirchir clocked 1:03:35 to win the race ahead of Jackson Kipleting who finished second as Emmanuel Bor sealed the podium.

"This was my first half-marathon race. I go home a happy man after the win as it means a lot to me. I trained on a hilly course in Iten so as to be among the top three athletes.

My aim is to win international races and represent Kenya on the track where I specialize in 5000m," he said after the race.
