TICKETING Seeking to attend Paris Olympics? Watching Faith Kipyegon, Ferdinand Omanyala and co will be an expensive affair
Fans intending to travel to France to catch Olympics action in the stadiums will have to spend big with athletics, where Kenyan is pinning its hope on, having the most expensive tickets.
She noted that she would love to shock herself more since she loves it and she will be hoping to shock herself more this season ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games later this year.
“I used to tell everybody that in Eugene, I wasn’t feeling my best and I wasn’t feeling good but I crossed the line and I was like I didn’t nail that start and I felt awful.
“But when I saw the 10.54 I was like I need to feel more awful but sometimes it’s all about feeling good and there’s nothing wrong with having nerves or having a little bit of doubt but you don’t have to doubt yourself all the time.
“I do shock myself a lot of the time and I love shocking myself…I’m not sure if I’ll shock myself this year but let’s see what will happen,” she said.
Thompson added that she ends up shocking herself most of the time because of a lack of self-belief, something she believes is not bad but it does not have to be all the time.
She noted that feeling awful is more of a mental thing than physical and athletes should learn how to master their emotions going into races.

ATHLETICS Warning shots fired at Keely Hodgkinson & Athing Mu after Moraa's explosive run at African Games
Mary Moraa's display at the African Games must have sent shivers down the spine of her closest challengers Keely Hodgkinson and Athing Mu ahead of the Olympic Games in Paris, France.
“I do, I shock myself because most of the time, I actually don’t believe in myself and end up lacking confidence because of the setbacks and the struggles you have.
“Sometimes your body will not respond to how you feel and most times I feel awful and whenever I feel like that, it’s almost like okay, I have achieved a fast time.
“And I can’t say that you are not supposed to feel good because feeling good is fine but most of the time when I’m running I think too much and, in most cases, that race becomes the fastest,” she added.
