Kipruto faded to finish a disappointing seventh at the Berlin Marathon and he has come out to share what happened.
2022 London Marathon champion Amos Kipruto has come out to speak on what happened during his outing at the Berlin Marathon.
Kipruto went into the race as a pre-race favourite but failed to live up to the billing after fading to finish seventh in 2:04:49.

The Kenyan-born Bahraini has beaten Beatrice Chepkoech in all their races in 2023.
In a lengthy post on his Facebook page, Kipruto explained what really happened during the race and promised to do better next time.
He attested that he pushed himself to the limits but Sunday did not work out well for him but he was pleased with his finish since he improved on his performance at the London Marathon.
He said: “I live for the moments where I challenge myself. It’s never guaranteed, it’s never easy. Today I'm happy for Comeback and the results.
I pushed myself as hard as I could but sometimes, we must accept that today wasn’t the day to push the barrier to a greater height.
I want to congratulate my competitors and thank everyone in the Berlin Marathon and my management Demadonna Athletic Promotions adidas Running my training mates 2Running Club for the support. And people from home for the incredible support.
I am so humbled to receive it. In sports you win and you lose and there is always tomorrow to set a new challenge. Excited for what’s ahead.”

The testers were on the ground for the Delhi State Athletics Championships but athletes did not take the news lightly and they escaped.
The race saw Eliud Kipchoge take top honours to become the first man in history to become the first man to win the Berlin Marathon five times. Vincent Kipkemboi finished second as Tadese Takele completed the podium.
