Africa’s fastest man Ferdinand Omanyala is one of the athletes who have a very huge following on their social media handles.
With such huge following, there are definitely people who are bound to hate on what he does and even have opinions on what he should be doing.
However, such people are not a priority in Omanyala’s life and he has shared how best he handles his haters.
“I believe everyone has a right to their opinion and I have encountered so many people who want to tell me what to do.
The internet will always be the internet and there will always be those people who support and others who don’t. There are others who will feel bad about what you are doing.
It happens and I don’t let it get to my head because these people don’t pay your bills or feed you. They don’t define you,” he explained.
The Commonwealth Games champion added that most of the haters are just looking for cheap fame and will dig deep to find a way to frustrate others. He also explained that most people are always quick to comment on things they know nothing about and that’s why they should not be given any priority.
“I have had so many people wanting to coach me, many of them who don’t even know anything about athletics.
They don’t really understand the game but they have many opinions on what I should do,” he added.
