The women's events had a lot of exceptional performances last week, from the collegiate circuit to professional meets in Europe, and the highly rated New Balance Indoor Grand Prix in Boston, which is part of the World Athletics Indoor Tour meets.
Some top performances stood out amongst others, making the athletes earn a spot on the five best female performers for last week.
These athletes broke records and recorded world-leading marks in their events, which got athletics enthusiasts talking worldwide.
Femke Bol's 500m World Record
Dutch 400m Hurdles star athlete Bol stormed to a new 500m indoor World Record (WR) of 1:05.63 to win the event at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix in Boston.

Rhasidat Adeleke's 400m NCAA-leading time
The University of Texas student clocked a world-leading time of 50.45s to win the 400m event at the New Mexico Open Classic in Albuquerque.

Tina Sutej's world-leading Pole Vault mark
At the Czech Indoor Gala meet in Ostrava, Tina Sutej cleared a PB and NR of 4.82m to win the women's Pole Vault.

Sutej finished far ahead of Amalie Svabikova, who also clocked a PB of 4.57m, and Roberta Bruni with 4.52m for third.
Pia Skrzyszowska's blazing 60m Hurdles world lead
The Polish hurdler blazed to an outstanding PB and world-leading time of 7.78s to win the women's 60mH at the Orlen Cup in Lodz.
