American YouTube sensation IShowSpeed has claimed that reigning 100m Olympic champion Noah Lyles is afraid to race him again after their 50m showdown on Wednesday.

American YouTube star and social media sensation Darren Jason Watkins Jr., known online as IShowSpeed or simply Speed, has issued a bold challenge for a rematch against Olympic gold medalist and reigning 100-meter champion Noah Lyles.

The call-out comes after Speed suffered a decisive defeat to Lyles in a 50-meter race held on Wednesday, November 6, where Lyles claimed a $100,000 cash prize.

The race was one of the latest examples of Speed’s ventures into challenges and showdowns with celebrities and athletes.

However, despite the clear result, Speed was not content to accept his loss as he immediately demanded another race, only to be met with hesitation from Lyles.

Refusing to back down, Speed took to his streaming platform to vent his frustration, claiming that the Olympic champion’s reluctance to race again was a sign of fear.

“Now everybody is scared to race me,” Speed stated in a fiery monologue to his audience.

“I’m not going to say names, but all these people who are professionals are scared to race me.”

Speed didn't stop there as he addressed Lyles directly, adding, “I’m calling everybody and anybody out, and that even goes out to Noah. That’s even the reason Noah did not want to race me again. Because if Noah would've raced me again, he knows he would have raced me.”

Speed’s bravado is characteristic of the energetic and outspoken style that has propelled him to fame online, where he has amassed millions of followers for his gaming content, stunts, and interactions with fans.

On the other hand, Noah Lyles, who recently won gold at the Paris Olympics appeared unfazed by Speed's bold demands for a rematch.

His casual jog to the finish in the initial 50-meter race seemed to illustrate the gulf in athletic prowess between the two, even as Speed's ambition brought a unique twist to the contest.

While Lyles has yet to respond to Speed’s latest remarks, fans are eagerly waiting to see if this rematch will materialize.
