Mary Moraa unveils multi-million palace with unique features that will leave you in awe
Mary Moraa has unveiled a luxurious 10-room mansion, celebrating her triumphs on the track and a remarkable 2024 season.
She revealed that he urged her to cherish the moments she is enjoying on the track right now, revealing that after some time, she would not be able to win medals and run the track since she would have retired.
"It was really nice to be recognised by the team that I've supported my entire life. We met Sir Alex Ferguson, which was crazy. He was very nice, very chatty. I showed him my gold medal. He said 'You'll only appreciate this in 20 years' time when you're done.' He said he watched my race, but who knows? People say that to me and I'm like 'Did you?!'"
The world 800m bronze medallist added that things have changed since she won the 800m Olympic gold medal as she is recognised more on the streets and people stop her to say hi.
At the Paris Olympic Games, Hodgkinson proved unbeatable as she thrashed Tsige Duguma and Mary Moraa, forcing them to settle for second and third places respectively. She was also unbeaten in the 800m the whole of this season.
“I get stopped in the street a lot more. I could be anywhere - shopping in Selfridges or in a coffee shop - whereas before it was specifically at a track. I think it's the blonde hair. It makes me quite recognisable!” she revealed.
“I would never really consider it to be fame. I more see it as people appreciating and watching the sport. A couple of times people have stopped to say they really enjoyed watching it and their daughters were inspired by it and want to run now.
