Meet Stacey-Ann Williams

A 400m specialist, Stacey-Ann Williams is unarguably one of the world's most beautiful track athletes.

She secured her spot on the Paris Olympic train as the 400m runner-up at the Jamaican Olympic trials for the first time as an individual competitor, after missing out for three consecutive years.

At Paris Olympics, Williams made the 400m semifinals but failed to qualify for the final. The 25-year-old is a two-time world championship silver medallist and a one-time Olympic bronze medallist in the 4x400m relays. Her PB is 50.12s set in April last year.

The romantic pair have been together for close to a year and are training partners at the Elite Performance Track Club in Jamaica with Coach Reynaldo Walcott.

Speaking on how they both motivate each other in training, Williams had kind words to say about her partner.

"He's always looking forward for me to do well and I'm looking forward for him to do well. So it feels good to know that you have somebody out there, like you know who is rooting for you wholeheartedly," she said.

"I feel like it's natural in that sense for us because we're in the same group, we see each other every day, we know each other inside and out, so it just comes natural for us.

"It's almost like he's always on the sideline showing me, you know just wholeheartedly rooting for me and I'm there when he needs me."

How proud he is that they made the Paris 2024 Olympics together, Broadbell said:

"I mean I cannot put that into words, the feeling, but it's really good because I feel like at trials she went before me and she made the team, and as I said it was my turn, and she was at the sidelines and I was like, 'alright my time now'.

"You know it's like she pushes me, I push her. So whoever goes first, we have to just set the standard and get going," he concluded.
