Reacting to an emotional period of cyberbullying attacks faced by his fiancée Junelle Bromfield, Noah Lyles opened up on the trauma felt during that period.
Noah Lyles and his fiancée Junelle Bromfield have been through several online attacks for various reasons, one of which led to his better half facing several criticisms from Jamaicans because of him.
Bromfield was cyberattacked and blamed for allegedly always leaking Jamaican athletes' secrets to her fiancé and choosing to be more loyal to Lyles than her country.
This heightened during the Paris Olympic Games when Lyles stormed to the 100m gold medal ahead of Jamaican favourite Kishane Thompson. Following this, Bromfield showed her loyalty to her romantic connection, which resulted in Jamaican backlash and many calling her a 'traitor' for choosing love over her country.
Likewise, the Paris Olympian has been hated and shamed for her skin colour, beauty, and relationship with the American, to the extent she had to make public posts on how she's proud of her race as a beautiful black girl.
This led to Lyles also openly dedicating support and commendation posts on his social media platforms on how she has dealt with hate, disrespect, and criticism from Jamaicans through the years because of him.
With the lovebirds now stronger mentally and physically from the setback, Lyles revealed the emotional trauma he felt during that period.
"I did cry. When Junelle told me about everything that was going on, I disappeared for a while. I just needed time to process it," he said in a recent interview.

Several top star sprinters opted to snub Michael Johnson's Grand Slam Track. Here's a list of the notable names.
Bromfield also once spoke on how Lyles' presence and huge advocacy on mental well-being have been critical in helping her deal with the intense criticism post-Olympics and staying positive no matter the cyberbullying attacks.
"I have a strong support team around me now. My boyfriend Noah is very very supportive and he's very big on mental health... don't think I am crying in my sleep now," she told Marca.
Bromfield is a two-time Olympian, Olympic medalist, Multi world championship medalist, and has been representing Jamaica on the world stage since she was eight years old.
Sadly, she stated in a recent interview her mixed reluctance to continue representing Jamaica at international level or even stepping her foot in the country.
