Despite having a considerable large following on different social media platforms, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce has hilariously revealed why she is not on TikTok.

Jamaican sprinting legend Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, known for her electrifying speed on the track and vibrant personality off it, has shared why she steers clear of the popular social media platform TikTok. 

Despite maintaining an active presence on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), Fraser-Pryce has humorously explained her absence from TikTok.

Now 37 and nearing the twilight of her career, Fraser-Pryce continues to inspire in an era dominated by a younger generation of athletes.

 Her journey began with a historic gold medal in the 100m at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, making her the first Caribbean woman to claim the prestigious title. Since then, she has amassed eight Olympic medals—two of them gold—and an astounding 16 World Championship medals, including 10 golds.

As a result, she has become very influential on social media. She has over one million followers on Instagram, 270,000 on X, and another 1.5 million on Facebook.

However, she explained why she chooses to avoid Tik Tok in a very hilarious manner.

“No, I am not on TikTok," she quipped during an appearance on Netflix’s Sprint. "As an alpha female, mi na wah si my man pan TikTok every day deh pan [dances a little]—I don’t want to see my man puzzled by me dancing on TikTok.”

Her lighthearted comments highlight Fraser-Pryce's relatable charm and playful humor, qualities that have endeared her to fans worldwide.

Beyond the jokes, Fraser-Pryce offered a glimpse into the mental fortitude that has defined her legendary career.

“At the line, I am not thinking about who is running beside me. I am thinking about running my best race, putting myself in the best position to win,” she revealed, demonstrating the laser focus that has helped her achieve unparalleled success in track and field.
