Retired legendary sprinter Gail Devers while naming her dream relay team revealed one quality feature she loves about Sha'Carri Richardson as Julien Alfred and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce also make exclusive list.

American track legend Gail Devers revealed her dream women's 4x100m relay team which features Paris Olympic stars Sha'Carri Richardson and Julien Alfred.

Devers who was a World Champion in the 60m, 100m, and 100m hurdles, and was the Olympic 100m gold at Atlanta 1996 to become the first woman to retain that tile since Wyomia Tyus in 1968, also won the 4x100m along with Chryste Gaines, Inger Miller, and Gwen Torrence.

Gail Devers was a dominant force during her era as a sprint athlete

Speaking on the Ready Set Go podcast with fellow American sprint legend Justin Gatlin and his co-host Rodney Green, Devers spoke at length about her illustrious career and the present generation of sprinters.

When asked to name her all-time dream 4x100m relay team including herself, Devers declined to a spot would line up legendary Jamaican queen Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Saint Lucia’s golden girl Alfred, British record holder Dina Asher-Smith, and American track star Richardson.

“Obviously, Sha’Carri.. they’re going to give her a lead, but do I want to see her go and get somebody? I like when she does that and look to the side. Let her go anchor.

“I want Mommy Rocket [Fraser-Pryce] out the hole… and then I got Julien Alfred… So I got somebody from the US, got somebody from Jamaica, somebody from Saint Lucia. I got to find somebody else. Dina Asher-Smith, and that’s the relay.

“And we taking on anybody else in the world. We got this platinum medal, they got to make up a medal for us, because we’ve surpassed gold.”

In addition, Devers selected Wilma Rudolph, World Record holder Florence Griffith Joyner, Evelyn Ashford, and Tyus as her all-time USA team.

The women's 4x100m world record of 40.82s was set at the London 2012 Olympics by the American quartet of Tianna Bartoletta, Allyson Felix, Bianca Knight, and Carmelita Jeter, which inevitably won them the gold medal.
