Ivorian sprint star Arthur Cisse has joined Africa’s fastest man Ferdinand Omanyala’s training group as he looks to sharpen his talons ahead of the Olympic Games in Paris, France.
Omanyala’s coach, Geoffrey Kimani was elated to announce the news on his X (Twitter) handle, welcoming Cisse to the training group that also includes Omanyala’s younger brother Isaac Omurwa, and his fiancée Laventa Amutavi.

Coach Geoffrey Kimani has expressed his satisfaction with the progress made by Ferdinand Omanyala's younger brother, Isaac Omurwa.
Kimani also noted that Cisse is a great addition to the group thanks to his charisma and he will certainly form a great partnership with the Commonwealth Games champion.

Africa's fastest man Ferdinand Omanyala has opened up on how he is burning the midnight oil to continue shining on the global stage this season.
Omanyala and Cisse have mostly locked horns in the indoor races and even at the start of the 2024 season, they have competed against each other in several races.
They were up against each other at the Elite Indoor Track Miramas Meeting where Omanyala won the race with the African Games silver medallist having to settle for third place.
The duo also competed against each other at the 2023 Elite Indoor Track Miramas Meeting where the Ivorian beat Omanyala before tables turned during the Mondeville Meeting.

World Athletics has approved the Athletics Integrity Unit's request for tougher testing for four federations ahead of the Olympic Games.
Africa’s fastest man also beat him at the Meeting in Paris and Meeting Hauts-de-France Pas-de-Calais last year. The Ivorian was also in action at the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary but he was unfortunately knocked out in the heats while Omanyala made it to the final.
