The 22-year-old Jamaican oozed class as she shattered the meeting record at the Diamond League Meeting in Silesia.

Youngster Ackera Nugent has stunned Olympic champion Masai Russell to claim the women’s 100m hurdles title at the Diamond League Meeting in Silesia.

The Jamaican star clocked an impressive time of 12.29 seconds to cross the finish line first as American Grace Stark finished second in a time of 12.37 seconds. Danielle Williams finished third in 12.38 seconds.

Olympic champion Russell was forced to finish a distant fourth in the hotly contested race, clocking 12.40 to cross the finish line.

Nugent has had quite a great season this year, making the Jamaican Olympic team where she got to the final but failed to finish the race. The 22-year-old then proceeded to her first Diamond League Meeting in Lausanne where she finished third but has since stamped authority in Silesia.

On her part, Stark finished fifth in the women's 100m hurdles final at the Paris Olympic Games and has bounced back to finish an impressive second behind the Jamaican star.

Meanwhile, Danielle Williams failed to impress at the Paris Olympic Games, where she exited the stage in the women’s 100m hurdles semifinal.

At the Diamond League Meeting in Lausanne, the reigning world champion faded to a fifth-place finish as Camacho-Quinn bounced back to winning ways. Her third-place finish at the Diamond League Meeting in Silesia is a good sign as she eyes a top spot in the Diamond League final.

The Olympic champion was competing in her first race after the Paris Olympic Games where she floored big wigs to claim the win. Competing at the Stade de France, Russell won the race in a time of 12.33 seconds.
