Athletics Kenya president Jack Tuwei has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Housing Finance Corporation to open avenues for sportsmen and women to own decent homes.
Tuwei expressed optimism that by signing the MOU, athletes will be able to enjoy the benefits of having a roof over their heads for the rest of their lives.

Kosgei had a decorated career, having broken the 25km world record after clocking 1:11:50 to cross the finish line.

Tuwei was in the company of Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba, Deputy Commissioner General of Kenya Prisons Catherine Ndereba, and AK Vice President Paul Mutui among other relevant stakeholders.
Mary Moraa who is fresh from winning the 800m at the Diamond League Meeting in Rabat, Wiseman Were, Dan Kiviasi and World Cross-country champion Beatrice Chebet include some of the athletes who were in attendance.
On his part, CS Namwamba lauded AK for the bold move and noted that the government is fully rallying behind them.
