Winfred Yavi has showered his fans with love for their support throughout the 2023 season as she prepares to impress them even more in 2024.
Reigning world 3000m steeplechase champion Winfred Yavi enjoyed a great 2023 season and she will be hoping to extend the winning streak to the 2024 season.
Yavi, the Diamond League Trophy winner was only beaten once in her specialty, where she faded to finish 11th at the Diamond League Meeting in Florence, Italy.
Going into the 2024 season, she thanked her fans for being the greatest support system and she promised not to disappoint when she heads to the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

The 2024 edition of the Hong Kong Marathon left many in shock after a 30-year-old runner died and 44 other runners were hospitalised.
In a post on her Instagram, the Kenyan-born Bahraini shared a photo that was captured during the 2023 World Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
She captioned the photo with: “Team Yavi, your support is my strength, this moment is ours. Onto the next one, Paris 2024. Keep moving."
Yavi has not shied away from expressing her interest in attacking the world record and also going for the Olympic gold medal.
The current world record stands at 8:44.32 and was set by Kenya’s Beatrice Chepkoech at the Diamond League Meeting in Monaco in 2018.
“My time means that I’m in the right progression in what I have been doing. Getting my new Personal Best time makes me believe more in myself and encourages me to work harder.
“It shows that I am capable of maybe doing a world record. I feel like I have the energy and I can do more with that time.
