Mary Moraa has warned that she is just getting started after an impressive season opener where she competed in the 400m at the third Athletics Kenya meet.
Reigning World 800m champion Mary Moraa has disclosed that she is just getting started and there is much more in store for her fans.
Moraa disclosed that she has done a couple of speedwork training and she is continuing to burn the midnight oil with her eyes set on the Olympic Games.
Kisii Express added that opening her season at the third Athletics Kenya meet held at the Nyayo National Stadium was to just gauge her body.

“Opening my season today was good and I have run the heats so I’m waiting for the final tomorrow to see what will happen.
“Training is okay and we have just started with speedwork and the season is still young. I just came here to test my body and know where I stand,” Moraa said after competing in the heats of the 400m at the third Athletics Kenya meet.
The Commonwealth Games champion added she is uncertain about competing at the World Indoor Championships scheduled for March 1 to 3 in Glasgow, United Kingdom. “About the World Indoor Championships, my coach knows better and he will be the one to decide,” she added.
Meanwhile, Moraa and her cousin, whom she mostly refers to as her sister, Sarah Moraa have been training together with the latter saying she has learnt a lot from Kisii Express.
Sarah reveled at training with the World champion and is certainly following in the footsteps of Moraa.
“Training is very okay and I usually enjoy training with my sister…I feel so good. At the moment in training, we are focusing on speedwork and so we want to improve on our time,” Sarah said.
