NBC Olympics posted on their X (formerly Twitter) handle saying that Lyles and Coleman will go to the global indoor championship with the hope of dominating.

Johnson commented on their post, saying: “That’s the #2 goal. They both have the same #1 goal. Become World champion in Glasgow. But only one can be the World Champ. Rematch!”

Meanwhile, Lyles beat the 60m world record holder Coleman during the US Indoor Championships that concluded on Saturday.

The triple World champion clocked a world lead and personal best of 6.43 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and cut the tape ahead of Coleman who finished second, 0.01 seconds later.

Ronnie Baker, the third-fastest American ever with a PB of 6.40, was third with a season's best of 6.51. Lyles opened his season at the Grand Prix Boston two weeks ago, clocking his previous PB of 6.44 to win the race.

Meanwhile, Coleman, shot to a 6.51 in his season-opener at the Millrose Games in New York earlier this month and he was the only man who could stop Lyles at the indoor championship but he faded to second.

The 60m race at the World Indoor Championships will surely promise to be a thrilling showpiece with the two American rivals on the line.
