ATHLETICS Sha'Carri Richardson explains meaning of her famous mantra after claiming top US award
Sha'Carri Richardson has shared what her mantra, 'I'm not back, I'm better' has meant to her this season after being honoured again.
He lauded Jackson’s remarkable performance that saw her win double gold (200m and 100m) at the Prefontaine Classic, the Diamond League Meeting final. She also won the World title in the 200m and finished second in the 100m behind Sha’Carri Richardson.
“The only item missing from Shericka’s exceedingly great resume of 2023 is world records and she has gotten closer than anyone else in history to the 200m world record.
So, I believe that in terms of her chances, if she had a world record, she would be named Female Athlete of the Year, but it is still up to the selection committee to make the final determination, but comparing her with the other athletes selected, the only item missing from her brilliant 2023 resumé is a world record,” James said as per the Jamaica Gleaner.
