At the Prefontaine Classic Diamond League in Eugene, one thing that stood out aside the event winners on the night was Sha'Carri Richardson racing with her natural hair for the first time.
The newly crowned world champion was competing for the first time since winning the world title in Budapest, and she got everyone talking when she lined up on the track in her beautiful afro-natural hair.
It was the first time she raced without a wig on or braids, and despite her finishing fourth in the race with Jamaica's Shericka Jackson (10.70s), Marie-Josee Ta Lou (10.75s), and Elaine Thompson-Herah (10.79s) ahead of her, the spectators at the stadium and athletics enthusiasts couldn't stop talking about her look.
