The men’s 100m will be headlined with the one and only Ferdinand Omanyala, the beast from the east with the women having to work hard to hit the qualifying time before deadline, June 30, elapses.

Confident Faith Kipyegon ready to double at Paris Olympics after impressing on day two of Kenyan trials
Winning the 1500m at the Kenyan Olympic trials has boosted Faith Kipyegon's confidence and she has disclosed plans to double in the 1500m and 5000m at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The men’s 400m will see Zablon Ekwam, the only Kenyan to have qualified too, take on strong opposition from across the globe with Wiseman Were also making the cut in the 400m Hurdles team to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
World 800m champion Mary has also been named in the 400m, as Kenya’s sole representative with Lilian Odira, making the cut to the 800m Olympic team. Sarah Moraa has yet to hit the qualifying time and she will only be considered if she achieves it.
The men’s 800m will see wunderkind Emmanuel Wanyonyi lead the team that includes Commonwealth Games champion Wycliffe Kinyamal and Koitatoi Kidali with the women’s 1500m having Susan Ejore, world record holder Faith Kipyegon and Nelly Chepchirchir.
The men’s 1500m has attracted Reynold Cheruiyot and Timothy Cheruiyot with Kyumbe Munguti also being forced to attain the qualifying times before the deadline elapses.
The women’s 3000m steeplechase will see youngster Faith Cherotich lead the team of world record holder Beatrice Chepkoech and Jackline Chepkoech with the men’s 3000m steeplechase including Simon Koech, Amos Serem and Abraham Kibiwott.
Kipyegon will also be competing in the women’s 5000m, joined by Beatrice Chebet with Margaret Chelimo having to attain the time. The men’s 5000m team has Ronald Kwemoi, Jacob Krop and Edwin Kurgat.

Olympics 800m champion Emmanuel Korir faces uncertainty after failing to earn a place in the final at the Athletics Kenya Olympics trials leaving his title defence in jeopardy.
The women’s 10,000m team will be headlined by Chebet and she will be joined by Chelimo and Lilian Kasait while the men’s 10,000m team will have Daniel Mateiko, Nicholas Kimeli and Bernard Kibet.
The marathon team remains unchanged, with defending champions Peres Jepchirchir and Eliud Kipchoge headlining the field. Kipchoge will be joined by Benson Kipruto, Alexander Mutiso and Timothy Kiplagat as a reserve. Jepchirchir will be joined by Hellen Obiri, Brigid Kosgei and Sharon Lokedi as a reserve.
