News about Kerr breaking the two-mile world record at the 2024 Millrose Games seemed to have rubbed Ingebrigtsen the wrong way and he could hide it.

Legendary sprinter Michael Johnson has marveled at Josh Kerr's decision to compete at the World Indoor Championships, noting what it indicates.
The Scot lowered the world record by nearly three seconds but Ingebrigtsen insisted that he would have beaten him even if he was in blindfolds.

Commenting about Kerr’s world record, the Norwegian said: “It is not certain that he runs any better now than last year at the same time; he did not run two miles then.
“I would have beaten him in that race, blindfolded… But it’s good that people run better than they have done before.”
During a pre-race press conference ahead of the World Indoor Championships, a Norwegian journalist asked Kerr about how he felt concerning the comments from Ingebrigtsen and the fact that he was not running the championship.
After persuasions from Grant Holloway concerning how he would answer the question, Kerr said: “No comment.”
Meanwhile, he also noted that having the event in his home nation is a great way to encourage young kids to embrace their talents.

Jakob Ingebrigtsen has come after Josh Kerr after he broke the indoor two-mile world record and noted that he would have beaten the Scottish runner in blindfolds.
“It’s massively important and we have a lot of events and London 2012 made a huge impact in the sport and inspired the next generation.
“I think it’s Scotland’s time to have that and having athletes from across the globe show off their skills makes a massive difference,” he said.
