Noah Lyles wins men's 100m at Paris Diamond League ahead of Ferdinand Omanyala as Marcell Jacobs finishes a distant seventh.
The long-awaited season debut of Marcell Jacobs wasn't a rosy one as expected, as the Olympic champion finished seventh behind Noah Lyles and Ferdinand Omanyala at the Paris Diamond League.
Lyles won the race coming through in a time of 9.97s (-0.9), good enough to edge Omanyala, who came second in 9.98s, and Letsile Tebogo finished third in 10.05s.
Jacobs was the pre-race favourite but couldn't live up to the hype, crossing the line in 10.21s.
The Italian had a difficult start to the season, sustaining an injury that saw him withdraw from the Rabat and Florence Diamond League, where he was supposed to face world champion, Fred Kerley.
