Jamaican fans were seemingly not happy to see Junelle Bromfield wish her boyfriend further success at the Olympics after his dramatic win over Kishane Thompson in the 100m final.
Noah Lyles’ girlfriend Junelle Bromfield believes her boyfriend is well on course to claim an Olympic double after his dramatic win in the 100m on Sunday.
The men’s 100m final race was very close with Lyles and Thompson each clocking 9.79, with what set them apart being mere microseconds. Fred Kerley came in distant third in 9.81.
After his win, Lyles ran over to his girlfriend in the stands before giving her an embrace alongside his mother.

'They robbed Kishane'- Angry Jamaican fans react to Noah Lyles' triumph over Kishane Thompson at Paris Olympics
The fans took to their social media handles, with some claiming that Noah Lyles was not the rightful winner of the men's 100m final at the Paris Olympics.
The Jamaican athlete, who is represented her country in the 400m in Paris, gushed over his boyfriend’s success and believes there is still more on the way.
“The double is alive,” Bromfield wrote on Instagram after Lyles’ success in 100m.
Bromfield’s sentiments were, however, not received well by Jamaicans who feel she should be supporting her compatriots in the race and not the American.
Jamaica is represented by Andrew Hudson and Bryan Levell in the race but Bromfield seems to have chosen love over country on this one.
Lyles is considered the favourite in 200m whose programme begins with the heats and later the semi-final on Monday night.
He has won three straight world titles over the distance and an Olympics medal would complete the set and put him among the greats.
