World Champion Sha'Carri Richardson was back in her hometown Dallas, to motivate high school students.

Fastest woman in the world Sha'Carri Richardson was back in the community where she grew up to motivate young school students.

After her Diamond League triumph in Eugene, Sha'Carri Richardson had promised to visit her hometown Dallas, and do something for them.

Sha'Carri Richardson mentioned that she has fond memories of growing up in Dallas and is thankful for all the love and support she enjoys from her community.

Sha'Carri Richardson returns to her Dallas roots

The 23-year-old was a celebrity guest at Desoto High School in Dallas where she encouraged the students and athletic fans to always give their best.

"My grandmother told me, whatever you are going to do, put your best foot into, the best self into it,” Sha'Carri Richardson said.

Sha'Carri Richardson got her career to a start as a young student at Carter High School, Dallas, where she won many medals.

The Dallas native urged the young students and others present at the event to take risks, so as to live a regret-free life.

“Always take a risk, when you take a risk, you don’t know what you can get. But if you don’t take risks, you are going to have regrets.”

At the event in Dallas, Sha'Carri Richardson was joined by current 100m champion Noah Lyles who also has some motivational words for the students.

“No matter what they are able to grab, I want them to know that everybody is gifted with something,” Noah Lyles said.

“It’s just learning how to use it, it doesn’t have to be the same way as the person next to you.”

Both Sha'Carri Richardson and Noah Lyles will now turn their attention to the Paris 2024 Olympics, after enjoying a stellar 2023 season.
