The American speedster dominated the men's sprints in Budapest by winning three gold medals in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m.
These victories came with a 9.83s to win the 100m, followed by a 19.52s in the 200m - his third straight in the event, and anchored the US 4x100m team to gold in a world-leading 37.38s for triple the glory.
In addition, Lyles maintained his position as world 200m leader for the sixth consecutive year and was undefeated in six 200m finals. Further proving his versatility, he closed the season as the joint world leader in the 100m.

'We were trying to reflect our athletes' feedbacks' - Seb Coe comes for Noah Lyles, reveals reasons for AOTY new format
As the World Athletics Athlete of the Year awards saga continues, Seb Coe has come out to clear the air.
“This is hard, because each one of them was very important to me,” said Lyles in an exclusive interview with World Athletics.
“The 100m was important because I’ve always known that I’m the fastest man on the planet, but nobody would believe me unless I actually had the 100m title. I’d definitely say that has changed the way that people have viewed me a little bit, especially outside of the sport. Now it’s no longer ‘American record-holder Noah Lyles’, it’s ‘fastest man in the world Noah Lyles’, and that has changed their viewpoint," he added.
“I think for this year, I’m going to rank that as first, and I’ll rank the 200m as second, because it was my third time winning the 200m. Then the 4x100m I’ll put third. Just because the relay, it’s fun. The icing on top was the 4x100m.”
