Noah Lyles has reacted to his track rival's sentiments who is hoping to turn tables this season.
Triple world champion Noah Lyles has replied to one of his track rivals, Christian Coleman’s mantra as he heads into the 2024 track and field season.
Coleman, the 60m world record holder, will return to the Armory in New York City on February 11 to go for his third consecutive victory over the distance at the Millrose Games.

He has already set his target ahead of his season opener and Lyles is surely impressed by Coleman’s mindset going into the event. In an interview with Citius Mag, an American outlet, Coleman said that he does not mind the times he posts but the wins are more important.
"To me, it’s not about the times. If there’s something to be won, I want to win it. And I don't care what time it takes to win it. I'm trying to go get it and that’s what track and field is about,” the American said.
Lyles, the two-time world 200m champion, replied to the post by the American outlet on their X (Twitter) handle agreeing to what Coleman said.
He said: “Speaking truth. The time is just icing on the cake. The win is true bragging rights. We all want that win.”
Meanwhile, Lyles and Coleman are set to renew their rivalry at the World Indoor Championships but the clash might be even sooner than many think. The American duo has openly discussed their track rivalry and each one of them will be aiming for a win at the global showpiece.
Last season, Lyles beat Coleman at the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary and the latter revenged at the Prefontaine Classic, the Diamond League Meeting final.
