Cheptegei clocked a stunning Olympic record time of 26:43.14 to cross the finish line first ahead of BerihuAregawi who clocked a stunning 26:43.44. America’s Grant Fisher completed the podium, clocking a season best time of 26:43.46.
His performance was not only the only thing that stood out but also his shoes stole the show on the purple track at the Stade de France.
