The 2016 Rio Olympic Games 10,000m silver medallist Paul Tanui has taken to his social media to express his gratitude to God after a successful full marathon debut.
Tanui made his full debut at the Buenos Aires Marathon in Argentina last Sunday and managed to finish second in a time of 2:09:57. He had earlier competed at the Daegu Marathon but unfortunately failed to finish the race.

In a post on his X (Twitter) handle, Tanui said: “Successfully debuted my first marathon, this far I really thank God. Thank you for being patient with me, God bless.”
Tanui opened his 2023 season with a fourth-place finish at the Bogota Half Marathon before making up his mind to debut in the full marathon.
In the recent past, the Kenyan has recorded impressive results in both the road races and on the track and he will surely be the one to watch as time goes by.
