Ferdinand Omanyala's younger brother has resumed training in preparation for a busy 2025 season.
Ferdinand Omanyala’s younger brother Isaac Omurwa has placed the 2024 season behind him and resumed training ahead of 2025.
This season has been quite challenging for the youngster who is looking to make a name for himself and chart his own path as far as sprinting is concerned. He turned professional early last year, just after finishing his high school studies and was impressive then but 2024 has been a roller coaster for him.
Isaac Omurwa was forced to end his season in March and has been on the low since then but his recent appearance online is a source of hope for his fans who were waiting for an update on how he is getting ready for next season.

'Things are coming together'- Junelle Bromfield shares Christmas decoration update ahead of hosting family
Junelle Bromfield has expressed excitement about how things are coming out as she gears up to host family members for Christmas.
He shared a series of photos, seemingly back in training and ready to start on a clean slate next season. He captioned the photos: “Progress is not about perfection but persistence. Every step forward, no matter how small, is a step closer to success.”
This season, Isaac Omurwa started off with a series of Athletics Kenya's Weekend meetings, competing at the second meeting where he finished fourth in the men’s 100m and proceeding to compete at the third meeting where he finished third.
He then raced at the African Games national trials where he finished fourth and unfortunately missed out on representing the country in the continental showpiece in Accra, Ghana. Isaac Omurwa then capped off his season with an eighth-place finish at the ASA Athletics Grand Prix 3, a Continental Tour Challenger.
Last season, he broke into the limelight thanks to his mindblowing times, just at the age of 19. Omurwa managed to represent Kenya at the Africa Under-20 Championships where he finished sixth in the final of the 100m and also raced in the 200m where he unfortunately failed to reach the final after finishing fourth in the semifinal.
Omurwa also competed at the Kenyan Championships where he failed to reach the final of the men’s 100m. He bid for a ticket to represent the country at the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary but his efforts were not enough to grant him a slot in either the relay or 100m.
