Sha'Carri Richardson is one athlete who has faced a lot of backlash and Basketball ace A'ja Wilson has shared tips on how she can overcome social media haters.
At the World Championships, Richardson equaled Shericka Jackson’s world-leading time of 10.65 to win the race in a commanding style. She finished first ahead of Jackson and Shelly-Anne Fraser-Pryce who finished second and third respectively.
She has also been in impeccable form this 2023 season and has only been beaten twice in the 100m. She was handed her first defeat at the Gyulai István Memorial, a Hungarian Athletics Grand Prix, and also finished fourth at the Prefontaine Classic, the Diamond League Meeting final.
On her Twitter handle, the American said, "This holds great significance for those from the city; you understand how deeply rooted the stadium is in our memories. I'm truly at a loss for words."
As reported by Dallas News, the school district voted on Thursday, October 19, to pay tribute to the former Carter track star.
Meanwhile, Richardson was an eight-time state champion at Carter, sweeping the Class 4A titles in the 100, 200, and 4x100m relay as a junior and senior and winning state in the 100 and 4x100 relay as a sophomore.
