Full details of Michael Johnson's newly launched Grand Slam Track League set to begin in 2025.
American sprint legend Michael Johnson has taken cue from professional Tennis after announcing the details of his 'Grand Slam Track' League scheduled to begin in 2025.
According to reports, the Grand Slam Track will kick off with four meets, also known as 'Slams' with $12.6 million available in prize money.

The Slams will take place from April - September, having two in the USA (one in LA), and each will be over three days. There will be 96 athletes involved with 48 as GST Racers and 48 as GST Challengers.
World Record holder in the women's 400mH Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone is confirmed as the first signing, and all Grand Slam Track Racers will receive an annual base compensation for racing in the events and will be eligible to earn additional prize money. To receive the full amount of each Racers’ base compensation they must participate in all four Slams.

All of the competitors’ final placement scores will be determined by their combined finishing order between the two races.
In the event of a tie across the two events, it will be the athlete who had the quickest combined time across the two races will be deemed the winner.
The winner of each Slam group will take home $100,000 in prize money, and the eighth-place competitor will earn $10,000. Grand Slam Track will have a total of $12.6m of prize money that will be awarded across the slams each year in addition to the base compensation and appearance fees paid to racers.
