Coming from a doping ban, Omanyala defied all odds and has steadily climbed through the ranks to become one of Kenya’s national treasures.

Africa’s fastest man Ferdinand Omanyala has opened up on the treacherous path that leads to success and what it takes for an individual to be prosperous.

Omanyala, who is the fastest man in the world so far this year, added that everyone has that power in them to succeed and they should just tap into it. He also encouraged people to avoid doubts and follow their dreams.

“The world belongs to those who refuse to be confined by the boundaries of what is deemed possible. In your heart lies the potential to accomplish the extraordinary, to leave an indelible mark on the tapestry of human existence.

"So, cast aside doubt, shatter limitations, and embrace the pursuit of the impossible. Dare to believe in the power of your potential, already within you,” read Omanyala's Tweet.

The Commonwealth Games champion is a true definition of the quote he posted. Coming from a doping ban, he defied all odds and has steadily climbed through the ranks to become one of Kenya’s national treasures placing the country on the world map.

This season, he has started off on a great start and he has officially cemented his place not only in Africa but on the world map. He is also vying to be the first African to bag a medal in the 100m at the World Championships.

He opened his campaign with an indoor tour in the 60m where he won three of the four races he was competing in. The 27-year-old then went for an outdoor tour in South Africa where he won all the two races he was competing in.

He then went for the Botswana Golden Grand Prix where he reigned supreme, clocking 9.78 to cut the tape. He started off his Diamond League Meeting in Rabat, Morocco where he finished third before finishing second in both Florence, Italy, and Paris, France.
