Timothy Cheruiyot is not shaken by the presence of defending champion Jakob Ingebritsen as he aims to go one place better at the Paris Olympics Games.
Timothy Cheruiyot is unfazed about defending Olympic champion Jakob Ingebrigtsen as he heads to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Cheruiyot finished second the Norwegian star at the delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games and as he heads to the Paris Olympic Games, the former plans to implement teamwork to stun him.
Cheruiyot will enjoy the company of reigning world under-20 champion Reynold Cheruiyot and African Games 1500m champion Brian Komen. Ingebrigtsen goes into the race ready for the challenge after missing the world title at both the 2022 and 2023 World Championships in Eugene and Budapest respectively.

“For now, it’s about being smart, staying focused and everything will be okay. This is about a championship and a championship is everyone’s race and we need to work together as the Kenyan team,” Cheruiyot said.
“We have Reynold and Komen and we are going there as a team and we need to get that medal. A championship is not like a Diamond League where there are pacemakers. We need to work on the heats, semis, and then finals,” he added.
