NCAA Triple Gold medals for Praise Idamadudu at Mid-South Conference Indoor Championships

Praise Idamadudu was in a class of her own at the Mid-South Conference Indoor Championships.

Triple accolades of praise for Praise Idamadudu, after winning three Gold medals at the Mid-South Conference Indoor Championships.

Idamadudu won her first Gold medal of the day in the 60m final, clocking 7.47s, which was an improvement on her 7.51s in the qualifying heat.

She will later race in the 400m final and won again in another impressive 55.93s, and finally in the 200m final, securing her third Gold medal in 24.17s.

The Cumberland University junior has been one of the school's standout athletes since joining the school, and yearly she delivers at meets and conference championships for the school.

Other results had Akpan Nsikak winning a bronze medal in the men's 60m final with a time of 6.93s, while Tobi Oniyinde finished sixth in 6.95s.

Meanwhile, Goodness Iredia was also a standout performer winning two Gold medals in the long and triple jump events and a silver medal in the high jump.

Iredia leaped to a School Record of 7.56m in the long jump, a distance of 15.17m in the triple jump, and cleared an indoor Personal Best of 2.01m in the high jump.

For his outstanding performances, he was awarded the men's indoor track and field freshman of the year and men's indoor track and field athlete of the year.
