Omanyala has smashed the national record he himself set in Miramas just one week ago at the Paris Indoor Tour.
Continuing his impeccable start to the 2024 season, Ferdinand Omanyala secured another triumph at the Paris Indoor Tour on Sunday.
Omanyala once again shattered his national record, clocking an impressive time of 6.51 seconds to claim victory in the 60m race, surpassing competitors like Emmanuel Matadi and Azu Jeremiah. Matadi secured second place with a time of 6.57 seconds, while Jeremiah finished third with a time of 6.59 seconds.
This marked Omanyala's second indoor race of the season, following his win in Miramas the previous weekend, where he set a national record of 6.52 seconds, triumphing over Ivory Coast's Arthur Cisse.

Ferdinand Omanyala's coach, Geoffrey Kimani, has expressed his excitement following his win at the Elite Indoor Track Meeting in Miramas, France.
In his latest achievement, Omanyala further lowered his national record by 0.01 seconds. Despite his outstanding performances, he is yet to surpass the African record in the 60m discipline, currently held by Leonard Myles-Mills at 6.45 seconds, set in 1999.
With his sights set on broader horizons, Omanyala will now take a well-deserved break before heading to Glasgow, Scotland, for the World Indoor Championships scheduled from March 1 to 3.
