The house was supposed to be built for seven days following an order from President William Ruto and the contractors are clearly not sleeping on their jobs since the foundation has already been laid.

Kiptum had plans to construct his family a house before his untimely death but his family will realise that dream, thanks to the effort from the President.
Giving an update on the house, an X (Twitter) user, Boss Yator, shared photos of how everything was looking as of Saturday evening.
“Kelvin Kiptum's 3-bedroom house coming up well. Day one, decking foundation using Rectangular Hollow Section (RHS) installed and concrete placed on the suspended slab... up next will be precast walling... Technology, seven days Marathon!” he said in the caption.
Meanwhile, Kiptum died last Sunday, alongside his coach Gervais Hakizimana, following a road accident leaving his family distraught as he was their breadwinner.
The 24-year-old made a breakthrough in 2023 as a rival to compatriot Eliud Kipchoge - one of the greatest marathon runners. He bettered Kipchoge’s world record time of 2:01:09 at the Chicago Marathon, clocking 2:00:35 to cross the finish line in what was his third marathon.
He was to compete at the NN Rotterdam Marathon in April and was in a quest to attempt to break the two-hour barrier. His death has left the world in utter shock and too many questions that people might never find answers to.
