Mary Moraa's display at the African Games must have sent shivers down the spine of her closest challengers Keely Hodgkinson and Athing Mu ahead of the Olympic Games in Paris, France.
Reigning world 800m champion Mary Moraa was in a class of her own as she obliterated a strong field to claim top honours in the 400m at the African Games in Accra, Ghana on Wednesday.
From her dominant exploits at the continental showpiece, it is evident that Moraa will be in stunning form this Olympic season as she also eyes her maiden title at the global bonanza.
'Kisii Express' sprinted to the finish line, leaving a huge gap between herself and her closest challengers and the 400m race is certainly doing wonders for her as she hopes to make an impact in the 800m race.

Moraa clocked in at a time of 50.57 seconds, beating Nigerian Joseph Esther Elo by almost a second before celebrating in her customary dancing mode.
From her exemplary performance, warning shots have been fired at her closest challengers Keely Hodgkinson and Athing Mu, who are yet to open their 2024 seasons.
Mu and Hodgkinson have held onto the Commonwealth Games 800m champion in many competitions and the trio are inseparable when it comes to the two-lap race.
Moraa showed the duo dust during the 2023 World Championships in Budapest, Hungary where she bagged gold to become the third Kenyan woman to bag the world title over the distance.
In the previous year, Mu took the top prize with the Briton settling for second place and Moraa finishing third but she changed the narrative last year.
As they head to the Olympic Games this season, they should be wary of Moraa who has already set the pace by delivering what she promised her fans.
