Wiseman Were has shared how the indoor races helped him last season and he hopes opening his 2024 season with the indoor races will increase his chances of qualifying for the Olympics.
National 400m Hurdles champion Wiseman Were has exuded confidence as he eyes a maiden appearance at the Olympic Games scheduled for Paris, France later this year.
Were will be making a return to the indoor meeting in Miramas, France this weekend. Last year, he made his indoor debut at the same event and he has highlighted the importance of the indoor races.

Africa's fastest man Ferdinand Omanyala has disclosed when he will make his first international appearance as he prepares for the Olympic Games.
He explained that by opening his season with the indoor races last year, he was able to improve his speed and learn how to improve his curves.

“My training has been going well and the weather is perfect…my body has also been responding well being that the competitions will be starting this week so we are just getting ready to see where we are.

Wiseman Were's coach, Dennis Mwanzo, has a lot of plans lined up for the Kenyan and his teammates ahead of the Olympic season.
“During last weekend’s AK meet, I didn’t run because we had planned with my coach and it just depends on what you want to achieve. I think I’ll come back when I’m ready to compete on home soil,” he added.
