World Athletics have joined track and field fans by commenting on the comparison of Kylian Mbappe to Usain Bolt when it comes to the 100m.
World Athletics have joined the trend of making fun of Frenchman Kylian Mbappe after recent comparisons to the world’s fastest man Usain Bolt.
During a Champions League match on Tuesday night, the Paris Saint-Germain forward clocked 10.09 seconds over the 100m and popular UK state broadcaster BBC Sport posted on their timeline saying Mbappe clocked a time that is 'just over a second' slower than Bolt's world record of 9.58 seconds.

ATHLETICS Mary Moraa confident of breaking Caster Semenya's 600m world record
Mary Moraa has revealed that breaking Caster Semenya's 600m world record is among her many plans this season.
The comparison has received a lot of criticism from track and field fans who disagree with the evaluation. World Athletics joined the trend by posting a photo of Shelly-Anne Fraser-Pryce and Shericka Jackson and captioned the cryptic post: "10.90? That's cute."
Despite being regarded as the fastest footballer in the world, the 25-year-old’s time could not even rank him in the top five fastest women in the world and therefore he is ranked joint-63rd on the women's 100m all-time list. The time would also rank him joint-433rd in the world when compared to times run by under-18 boys over the last year.
Bolt could also not be left behind as he laughed about the comparison made. Speaking to long jumper and founder of Jumpers World, Andreas Trajkovski, the Jamaican said: “I was laughing when I saw it. The girls are running faster than that."
Meanwhile, Mbappe’s speed strikes fear into the heart of every defender since he is very quick and has the capability of leaving nearly every player on the planet in his dust.
