Triple world champion Noah Lyles has fired warning shots at his track rivals following his first loss of the season to Jamaican wonderkind Oblique Seville at the Racers Grand Prix in Jamaica.
Lyles finished second, clocking 9.85 to cross the finish line behind Seville, who clocked a world leading and personal best time of 9.82 to win the hotly contested race. Ferdinand Omanyala sealed the podium, clocking 10.02 to cross the finish line.

Meanwhile, the 23-year-old Jamaican was startled after beating Lyles, and noted that it is a great sign ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympics.
He explained that his coach was working on his execution for the past one month and that’s something that worked well for him. He is looking forward to race more in Europe in his build up to the Jamaican trials where he will bid for a ticket to the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Jamaican sprint star Oblique Seville has disclosed what worked for him as he silenced triple world champion Noah Lyles at the Racers Grand Prix.
“I’m happy to have competed against Lyles because the last time I raced against him was the World Championships and coming out here and racing against him in the country is good,” he said.
