A1 Challenge continued with their resurgence in the second half of the National Basketball League with a 75- 32 victory over the hapless Kampala University Ladies Club on Saturday.
After two impressive back-to-back wins, A1 Challenge came into the tie as clear favourites and started on the right foot, racing to a 20-7 lead at the end of the first quarter to set a good tone for the match.
Their improved defense was on show for everyone as they limited their opponents to single-digit scoring in three of the four quarters.
Maria Goretti Angole was yet again the star of the show with 20 points 12-rebound double-double after her exploits on Wednesday night against the Nabisunsa Girls.
Kampala University is currently on a bad losing streak as their offense looks stale without the services of the league's top scorer, Margaret Baagala, who is currently on National team duty with the She Cranes.
The three straight wins lift the A1 Challenge to eighth place on the table with a record of 4-10, and they will look to extend that win streak against fourth-placed Magic Stormers in what will seem to be a cracking game.
Meanwhile, the defeat leaves the Kampala University Ladies in ninth place on the table hovering above the relegation places.
They will look to defeat the Nkumba Lady Marines in their next fixture
