Ugandan forward Jane Asinde continues to make headline for the right reasons in the USA.
The Wichita State Shockers player has been named Third Team All-Conference by the American Athletic Conference.
Asinde, alongside teammate Trajata Colbert became the first Shocker teammates to earn All-Conference honors by the American in the same season.

The former JKL Lady Dolphins player also ranks eighteenth nationally in rebounds with 10.4 per game.
Meanwhile Colbert has eight double-doubles this season and is averaging 12.5 points and 7.9 rebounds.
Asinde and Colbert will now join their teammates in the opening game of the American Athletic Conference Championship in Dallas-Fort Worth against Temple Owls.
The two sides went 1-1 in the regular season with Wichita State losing 79-52 on February 1 before recovering to win 97-79 on February 25.
Asinde is one of the players Uganda Gazelles head coach Alberto Antuna will be hoping to have the next time the team is in action.
She was one of the biggest misses as the Gazelles battled to a second-place finish in the recently concluded Fiba Zone V Women’s AfroBasket Qualifiers in Kampala, Uganda.
Asinde, alongside Melissa Akullu, Jamila Nansikombi and Priscilla Abey, will be expected to suit up for the Gazelles at the women’s AfroBasket in Kigali, Rwanda later this year.
