The Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) has revealed its latest preparation for the upcoming FIBA Pre-Olympic Qualifying Tournament games.
Nigeria's senior men's basketball team known as D'Tigers aims to bounce back following their failure to qualify for the 2023 FIBA Men's World Cup.
The team will have a chance to begin their qualification process for the Men's basketball event of the 2024 Olympics scheduled for Paris.

D'Tigers list for FIBA Pre-Olympic Qualifying Tournament games
The NBBF revealed a list of 15 players of home-based players and foreign stars to participate in the FIBA Pre-Olympic Qualifying Tournament games.
The team will be led by new Phoenix Suns forward Chimezie Metu as captain.
Players invited include EJ Anosike, Ike Ndugba, Michael Eric, Mike NUGA, Kaodirichi Akonbundu- Ehiohu and Ibe Agu.
Others are Michael Daramola, Daniel Utomi, Warith Alatishe, Godwin Omenaka, UC Iroegbu. Victor Ezeh. Kanyinsola Odufuwa and Micahel Okiki.
The team will be led by Head Coach Ogoh Odaudu after he led the home-based team to finish eighth at the recently concluded AFROCAN championship.
D'Tigers FIBA Pre-Olympic Qualifying Tournament games
The FIBA Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournaments group stage draw was done last month.
The draw indicates that the initial route taken by each of the 40 participating nations to Paris 2024 has been established.
Nations such as Nigeria that will not be participating in the FIBA Basketball World Cup in 2023 will have the chance to compete in the FIBA Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournaments.
Each FIBA Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournament's champion will line up at one of the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournaments in July, winning a spot in Paris 2024.
The dedicated host nations will hold the FIBA Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournaments from August 12 to 20.
The FIBA World Men's Ranking were used to create seeding pots for the tournament draws.
The Group Phase is set for Lagos, Nigeria as D'Tigers are set to play in front of their home fans for the first time in a while.
For the FIBA Olympic pre-qualifying tournament, D'Tigers are in group A and will face Mali, Uganda, and Senegal.
The five FIBA Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournaments will take place between August 12 and August 20, 2023, and the five champions will receive invitations to the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournaments in July 2024.

D'Tigers will not play their group opponents at the Indoor Hall of the National Stadium as many people expected.
