Rezlife are bottom on the 12-team log, with a 3-11 record, and it is unlikely their fourth win will come against the champions.

Fifteen games later, City Oilers are still unbeaten and look unstoppable whenever they step on the floor.

The eight-time champions won ten straight games before taking part in the Basketball Africa League in April and have since added another five victories to stay unbeaten.

Not even the absence of some key pieces of the team has affected the team’s winning run. Ruai Luak and Michael Ngut have missed the last few games, but the champions still came out to top.

The two South Sudanese were among the top performers for the team in the first round and add quality and size to Mandy Juruni’s charges.

Rezlife next in line

Next in the firing line is relegation-threatened Rezlife Saints. The oilers made light work of Dmark Power last Saturday and will be overwhelming favourites against Rezlife.

Rezlife are bottom on the 12-team log, with a 3-11 record, and it is unlikely their fourth win will come against the champions.

In their 64-47 loss to Our Savior, the Lubowa-based side had no player scoring in double figures and will need to sharpen their offence against the champions.

For the defending champions, the three-ball did the magic in the 85-55 win over Power.

Fayed Baale shot four-for-seven from downtown as the Oilers recorded a 15-for-33 rhythm from three-point range to ease past the five-time champions.

Oilers will be welcoming back forward Moses Maker, who was part of the title-winning side last season but had returned to South Sudan.

Maker sat on the Oilers' bench as they wiped the floor with Power last Saturday and will add size in the absence of the injured Ngut.
