The Miami Heat are favoured as NBA star Damian Lillard requests a trade out of the Portland Trail Blazers
Despite having one of the finest point guards in the NBA, Damian Lillard's Portland Trail Blazers have failed to qualify for the playoffs for the past two seasons, and speculation over his future in Portland has been rampant for a while.
Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium wrote on Saturday that the seven-time NBA All-Star has asked the team for a trade.
Charania on Twitter said, "Breaking: Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard has requested a trade out of Portland, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.
"The Miami Heat and Brooklyn Nets are among leading suitors for one of the NBA’s 75 Greatest Players ever."

In addition to averaging 32.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 7.3 assists per game while shooting 46.3% from the field and 37.1% from three-point range, Lillard just completed another outstanding season.
With a final record of 33-49, the Trail Blazers earned the 13th seed in the Western Conference.
