Wainright was one of the 13 Silverbacks summoned to compete at the qualifiers starting this Friday in Tunisia, but he will not form part.
Initially, he played 105 games across his first two seasons (2021-2023) with Phoenix, including two starts last campaign.
Wainright, 29, was then traded to the Blazers by the Phoenix Suns in the three-team trade that sent Damian Lillard to the Milwaukee Bucks just before the season started.
Wainright played in seven games for the Blazers earlier this season, averaging 2.9 points per game.
